About the community and their economic and education background:
(1) Formation of Trust and its registration:
Raika Education Charitable trust was registered on 30th June, 2003. Later the Trust was registered as a public charitable trust with Asst. commissioner Devsthan Dept under the Rajasthan Public Trust Act 1959 (Section 42) on 7th November 2003.
(2) Separate bank account of the trust:
Separate bank account of RECT was opened on 29th oct, 2003 with UTI bank, Jaipur main branch. The account number is 010010100173148. In 2005, a scholarship scheme was launched by the trust and for that purpose a separate Scholarship account was opened on 30th may, 2005 with UTI bank, Jaipur branch having account number 010010100304689.
(3) Exemption of Income tax under section 80 G and 12 (a) of IT Act, 1961:
It was decided to apply for income tax exemption for the income of the trust and its doners. RECT got the certificate for that purpose dated 21/6/06. RECT becomes first institution in Raika Society to get such certificates.
(4) Audited Balance sheet:
To make all the accounts authenticated by a chartered accountant, trust decided to do audit of its income and expenditure accounts and balance sheets regularly.
(5) Application for FCRA account:
Trust is going to apply for Foreign Contribution Regulation Act for the purpose of getting foreign donation. For that purpose prior approval of Home Ministry of Govt of India is required and after that registration under FCRA is necessary. Trust fulfils necessary requirements to become eligible for this type of registration and application will be made this month.

The objects are of Educational.
Activities of the Trust: Trust activities broadly can be described as under;
(a) To provide Hostel and residential facilities to the students and staff and also to provide library and reading room facilities and all other supportive activities.
(b) To establish, Maintain, Acquire, support, aid grant monetary aid to schools, colleges, training institutes.
(c) To Grant loan with or without interest. Monetary assistance to students for studies in schools, colleges or education aids (material) to the students.
(d) To subscribe for books, Newspapers, Magazines, Periodicals and other books for advancement of education.
(e) To establish, take over, acquire, any property or running educational, medical and welfare institutions, conduct, maintain, administer, promote, organize and carry on such programs, schemes, including agricultural and research related educational works and activities for the benefits of all people.
(f) To establish, take over, manage, maintain and dispose off colleges, hostels, boarding house and allied and similar institutions.
(g) To promote, Maintain, control, conduct, support or subscribe to any societies, trusts, associations, institutions or govt and semi govt centres having similar objects of this trust or otherwise deemed beneficial to this trust.
(h) To Train, provide and maintain the personnel thereof with or without remuneration including congregation members and all other things necessary to carry out objects of the trust and in accordance with canon law and other codes of government.
(i) To establish, maintain, take over, manage and maintain formal, non formal, vocational, individual development training centres.
(a) Shri Surata Ram( Chairman)
He is B.E. and passed IES (Indian Engineering Services conducted by UPSC). At present, He is Dy. Director in Central Electricity Athority in Govt of India. He is known for his crusade against social evils. He mobilised support for education from community members in Banglore when he was posted there as Asst. Director of SREB.
(b) Shri Lal Singh (Managing Trustee)
He is M.com with distinction and national talent research scholarship holder. He joined as a probationary officer in Oriental bank of commerce in 1993 and promoted as branch Manager in 1998 and posted at Junagadh. He joined UTI bank in 2000 as Manager and posted as Branchhead at Rajkot. Later, He was marketing Head in UTI bank Ahmedabad. He was promoted in 2004 as Asst. Vice President and posted as Branch head of Vastrapur(Ahmedabad) branch of UTI bank. Recently, he has been promoted as Vice President. He is native of Kolika, tehsil-Behror (Alwar, Rajasthan). He is a writer on Indian history and pastoral community of India. He has won many awards for excellence in UTI bank. He has been instrumental to make the trust as a modern institution.
(c) Shri Baburam Dewashi ( Trustee)
He is B.com and AICWA. He was an account officer with Rajasthan state cooperative Oil seeds Growers Federation lts. At present he is Dy. Manager in National Small Industries Corporation of Indian (A govt of India Enterprise). He is handling Trust accounts and giving his expertise advice.
(d) Shri Kanjibhai Dewasi ( Trustee)
He is a successful businessman and belongs to Pali district of Rajasthan. He is an entrepreneur and has a processing factory in Junagadh.
(e) Dr. Dewa Ram: ( Trustee)
He is a Veterinary Doctor in Pali. Deva ram is active social worker and played an important role for the movement of ‘save camel”. He is working as Veterinary doctor in Govt of Rajasthan.
(f) Shri Hardevji Dewashi (Trustee)
He is B.com and B.Ed. and at present working in a court in Pali. He is also a social worker and organized many blood donation camps for the society in Pali
(a) Dr. Dev Kalyan Bhati:
MOTIVATORS
Dr. Bhat is a famous surgeon in USA. He always thinks about welfare and educational development of the society though he stays in USA. His emotions and well wishes are always with us. Dr. Bhati initiated the movement of Education and held meeting of educated Raikas and due to his efforts RECT has become a modern institution. He is one of the main donor for the trust.
(b) Dr. Rewant Desai: Dr. Rewant has worked with Appolo Hospital in Delhi and at present A doctor in UK. He along with Dr. Bhati motivated the young Raika to start a trust for education. He is also one of the main donor for the trust.
